I learned quickly that she doesn't need a horse to compete far and wide but she does need lots of reps to succeed at contests, especially judging. Wrangling the schedule and study materials is pretty much my hobby.
I also learned that the journey is rewarding and worth it. There are buckles and scholarships and friendships. There’s personal development on every level. And while she does all that, there’s coffee and (if I'm lucky) cutting contests for me.
