Aggiefest Horse Judging Workshop gives youth an opportunity to practice horse judging in a comfortable, learning environment. The workshop includes what to look for when judging performance classes and halter and how to develop effective and accurate reason presentations. English and western classes and an optional halter class are provided for youth to judge. Placings, cuts and critiques are discussed following each class with ample opportunity to address participant questions.

Extension Foundation Online Judging Courses
Courses are put together by various organizations, including university horse judging coaches, and are purchased individually. Courses are added often and updates are posted on the Extension Horses Facebook page.

These free printable PDFs are great reference materials. Judging contests typically follow AQHA rules, which can change, so be mindful when using older publications.

Texas A&M Horse Judging Resources
For on-demand access to the TAMU horse judging course, a 12-month subscription is $200. This course is designed for youth and collegiate horse judging team members, their coaches, and anyone interested in learning more about horse judging. Learning objectives include understanding the rules for each class, applying the judging guidelines to each class, and learning to articulate placings during oral reasons.
